If your friend is not on your Friends list, you can open the Friends tab, select Find Crossplay Friends, and search for a friend by Gamertag.

Players that want to join a friend’s Minecraft Legends campaign can follow these steps:

  1. Launch Minecraft Legends
  2. Select Campaign
  3. Navigate to the Friends Playing Online option
  4. Select the friend’s game and join it

The game host will need to ensure Player access is set to Friends. If the game is set to Invite only, the host will need to invite you using the steps at the top of this section.

Minecraft Legends campaign has three difficulties:

  • Fabled: Recommend for players less familiar with strategy games. Balanced world size and amount of piglin bases. Required strategy and correct use of your tools.
  • Mythic: Recommended for players seeking a greater challenge. Larger world size with more piglin bases. Enemy units are slightly more resilient. Resources are more scarce.
  • Legendary: Recommend for one or more expert players seeking a greater challenge. Larger world size with more piglin bases. Enemy units are more resilient. Resources are much more scarce. Piglin attacks are stronger and more frequent.

As the descriptions suggest, if it’s your first time playing and you’re not comfortable with strategy or RTS games, Fabled is a good beginner option. You can also choose to play or skip through the tutorial as the host, which takes about ten minutes to complete and will show you the basic controls and features.
