There are a few basic materials you’ll need in Marauders, whether it’s for quests, contracts, or crafting. The most basic of the resources is Junk Scrap, and it’s easy to get, but for new players, we’ll give you a quick rundown. Here’s how to get Junk Scrap in Marauders.
How to Get Junk Scrap in Marauders
Junk Scrap is obtained by scrapping items on the Crafting tab in Marauders. The easiest way to obtain scrap is by purchasing knives from the trade dealer and then scrapping those.
To scrap items, simply tap on the Crafting tab and then drag an item into the “Scrapping” window. You can see the potential materials you get for each item on the Scrapping window as soon as you click on one.
For example, scrapping a Combat Knife will almost always give you at least one Junk Scrap. The Combat Knife can be purchased from the trade dealer for around $1800, depending on your reputation and discount.
Another easy way to get Junk Scrap is by scrapping pistols. If you didn’t already know, each time you load up into a match on your Rustbucket (default ship), there’s a free Luger you can pick up and bring back with you when you extract. It’s typically located right in front of your character on a box when you first spawn into the game.
The Luger can be scrapped for Junk Scrap (80% chance) and Metal Scrap (20% chance). Other gear like helmets, vests, and backpacks also have a chance to give you Junk Scrap.
Overall, pretty much anything you scrap can give you Junk Scrap, as it’s the game’s most basic resource. The easiest way, though, is by checking your Trade tab and purchasing cheap knives, and then scrapping them. You can use Junk Scrap to make Sack Bags in the early game for some extra inventory space.
