Culture rating is an important stat you’ll need to maintain to have a successful mission in Pharaoh: A New Era. If your Culture rating is lacking, this guide will help.
Perhaps the most all-encompassing rating in Pharaoh: A New Era is your Culture Rating. Culture depends on various factors, including Entertainment, Education, Health, and Religion. To complete missions in the game, you’ll need to maintain a certain Culture rating to advance to the next part of your campaign.
How to Increase Culture Rating Pharaoh A New Era
Distributing Entertainment, Education, Health, and Religious facilities throughout the empire is essential to maintaining a high culture rating.
To increase Culture Rating, players can do the following:
- Diversify your Entertainment types
- Construct places of worship for each of your deities
- Build additional Libraries and Scribal Schools
- Build more health services (Apothecaries do not improve Culture rating)
- Construct a Zoo to increase your Culture rating past 75
What Decreases Culture Rating?
The following acts will reduce your Culture rating:
- Not enough Entertainment, Health, Education, and Religious facilities for your population
- Overcrowding at Education facilities
You can check whether your settlement has good coverage for Entertainment, Health, Education, or Religion by accessing the Ratings Overseer tab and clicking on each of the Ratings. As you click, it will cycle through the different things your town lacks and ways to improve each score.
Players can also use the various Overlays on the left side of the screen to visually view the coverage for each rating. Darker-colored housing indicates good coverage, while lighter or no-color housing indicates poor coverage.
Ultimately, while Culture covers various constructions and facilities, having a good variety of buildings and services will lead to high Culture.
