Ubisoft Forward is officially returning with a pair of showcases, the first of which airs in just two days. On July 7, Ubisoft plans to show off an “in-depth look” at the highly anticipated upcoming open-world pirate game known as Skull and Bones.
The news comes directly from Ubisoft, stating that the Ubisoft Forward Spotlight On Skull and Bones airs on YouTube and Twitch on July 7 at 2 p.m. ET. Gamers can tune in on either of the two live streams to catch the event live and see the worldwide gameplay reveal of Skull and Bones.
That’s not all, though–Ubisoft Forward returns two months later on September 12 at 3 p.m. ET to reveal updates and news about multiple projects and games from Ubisoft teams worldwide. That broadcast will stream live on YouTube, Twitch, and the official Ubisoft Forward website.
What is Skull and Bones?
Skull and Bones is an upcoming action-adventure open-world game developed by Ubisoft Singapore. The game does not yet have an official release date, but it’s something that may be announced at Ubisoft Forward.
Skull and Bones is a tactical action game that utilizes a third-person perspective. Players control a pirate captain and navigate the open waters of the Indian Ocean, either by themselves in a single-player campaign or with up to five other players for intense player versus player action in Disputed Waters.
The game was first revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2017 and was confirmed to be in development for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It’s a title that has been the subject of many delays–originally slated for a 2018 release, then delayed to 2019, and ultimately given a tentative release date of April 2022 to March 2023.
Gamers who want to learn more about Skull and Bones can tune into Ubisoft Forward on July 7 at 2 p.m. ET on the Ubisoft Twitch and YouTube channels.
