Storm of Arrows is one of the best skills in Soulstone Survivors. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly the easiest achievement to obtain. We’re here to make it a little easier for you to unlock this overpowered skill. In the guide below, we explain how to unlock Storm of Arrows in Soulstone Survivors and provide some tips to help you complete a quick run.
How to Unlock Storm of Arrows in Soulstone Survivors
To unlock Storm of Arrows in Soulstone Survivors, you must complete a run in under nine minutes. You can complete the sub-nine-minute run on any stage with any character in the game. However, we recommend using The Hound Master for this achievement.
Here’s the build we recommend for clearing a stage in under nine minutes.
First, pick The Hound Master. If you still need to unlock this character, you can unlock him by finishing any stage in under 25 minutes. A fairly simple task that should be easily achievable by simply playing the game.
Next, you’ll want to equip a few Runes to help you out. These are not required, but they certainly help you in this scenario. The runes we recommend are:
- Weapon Expert: You start the game with the special weapon skill for your currently selected weapon.
- Generalist: You cause 5% extra damage for each different type your currently active skills have.
- Purity: Increases all damage caused by 50%. This bonus is reduced by 5% for each different type of negative effect on the target.
- Focus Fire: Increases all damage you deal by 40% but decreases the area of all your skills by 20%.
To equip Runes, you’ll need to purchase Rune Power from the Skill Tree tab. Rune Power is the top-most node in the tree and usually costs a few different Soulstone for each level. Once you have Rune Power, go to the Runes tab and equip the runes we recommend above (if you have them).
Next, here are the Skills to pick up in-game:
- Buckshot
- Dog Bite
- Power Blast
- Bomb Barrage
- Shrapnel Shot
- Shrapnel Bomb
- Weakening Grenade
- Bloodlust
Dog Bite is a passive Hound Master skill, where you have little dogs running around killing enemies for you. That’s one reason why Hound Master is a good option here, not to mention Bloodlust also affects the dogs. Buckshot is the upgraded skill from the Riflemen’s Vengeance weapon, so be sure to upgrade The Hound Master at The Blacksmith.
For passive skills, focus on Critical Damage Modifier, Cast Frequency, and Area Modifier. Try and get a duration bonus for your Bloodlust so that it’s always active, and try to get multicast upgrades whenever possible. You can banish things like Agile, Armor, and Block because you won’t need them.
Finally, your best bet for completing this challenge is by doing Stage 1 with No Curses. Position yourself in the top left corner, as you’ll be right between three spawn points. Kill enemies as fast as possible, and you should eventually be able to complete the run in under nine minutes.
As a word of caution, there’s a bit of RNG involved here, mainly because the skills you roll will be random. You should kill the first boss at about two minutes into the game and keep on pace to kill the fifth boss at around the 8:30 mark.
