Soulstone Survivors features 14 unique playable characters available on launch. At the start of the game, you’ll only have The Barbarian unlocked, but as you play more, you’ll begin unlocking additional heroes. The last hero you can unlock is The Death Knight, and it’s the most difficult one to obtain. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock The Death Knight in Soulstone Survivors.
How to Unlock the Death Knight in Soulstone Survivors
To unlock The Death Knight in Soulstone Survivors, you need to win a match with all curses up to and including Tier V enabled on The Frozen Wastelands.
Recommended Setup:
- Character: The Necromancer
- Runes: Dash Mastery, Weapon Expert, Skill Master Blasting, Skill Affinity Blasting, Skill Affinity Shadow
- Passive Skills: Damage, AoE, Multicast, Frequency
- Active Skills: Putrid Hounds, Chaos Golem, Skeletons
Perhaps the best character for completing this challenge is The Necromancer because the character utilizes pets and minions. Minion builds are great in Soulstone Survivors because they can absorb and do a bulk of the damage. You’re then free to run around and destroy the Shrines that shoot out projectiles, which is very important in higher-tier runs.
We like Putrid Hounds, Chaos Golem, and Skeleton Mages or Archers for this particular build. You can also get the Void skill if you like since it is helpful to round up enemies. Mob density gets very intense, so you’ll also want to turn down your graphics if you lag.
In terms of passive skills, we recommend upgrading your Skill Damage, increasing Area and Frequency Modifiers, and getting Multicast when possible. Aside from that, you can go with Damage Reduction, Increased Health, and any other survivability passives offered to you. Soulstone Survivors is a game of RNG, so you might get unlucky with the skill selection and need to restart – it’s all part of the game.
Cursed Mode and How it Works
If you’re unsure how curses work, don’t worry – we’re here to give you a quick rundown. Curse Mode is a stage modifier that makes the level more difficult. You can turn these on via the stage selection screen by checking the “Enable curses” box. Curses Mode is a progression system, so you’ll first need to clear the Tier I curses to unlock Tier II, and so on.
Curses of the Void give you more bonuses, including Minor Soulstones, Prestige, Rare Minerals, Epic Minerals, Legendary Minerals, and Void Essences. Just check the box that says Enable Curses, and check all the boxes for each tier of curses.
