Eight different tiers of armor, or armor sets, are available to craft in V Rising. Unlike traditional RPGs that require you to complete missions to gain levels, obtaining better gear with higher item levels is the only way to increase your character’s level. Each subsequent gear set has better durability, more max health, and better set bonuses. Here’s a look at all the different V Rising armor tiers available in the game.
Armor sets include four pieces of gear: chest, legs, gloves, and boots. The item level on each piece of gear influences your character’s overall level, which is the sum of all item levels. Aside from these four pieces of gear, you can also equip a cape, jewelry, and a helmet, which all have durability that degrades after combat. The jewelry slot is the only other one that has an item level. The helmet is purely cosmetic, and the cape has no item level, though it does offer stats and resistances.
