Is there Cross-Platform Play in NFS Unbound?

In an exclusive interview with IGN, EA revealed that Need for Speed: Unbound is indeed going to have cross-platform play. However, EA also notes that currently, there are no plans for cross-progression.

However, it should be noted by players that the game will only be available for the current generations of systems. This means that only Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC users will be able to play the game. Unfortunately, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users must update their hardware if they wish to play Need for Speed: Unbound.
