Well, my fellow pirates, it’s finally here–today, we get an all-new update to Marauders that addresses many of the current issues facing the game. While a blast, Marauders is still in early access, so as gamers, we need to anticipate some bugs. This month’s Marauders patch notes for November 10, 2022, addresses the cheating issues concerning the community, adds a few new weapons, and boasts a few quality-of-life enhancements. Dubbed the Health Patch (no, this doesn’t make Disinfectant easier to find), the developers, Small Impact Games, are focusing on the core issues with the game–which is something we love to hear.
Marauders Patch Notes (November 10)
The Marauders patch notes for November 10, 2022, include:
New Weapons & Attachments
Marauders–it’s time to gear up with some shiny new loot you can take into raids to kill your fellow space pirates. The Marauders health patch will add the following items:
- EM2 Battle Rifle
- Webley Revolver
- Sten Attachments
The EM2 Battle Rifle is based on a British rifle created in the 1950s.
Webly Revolvers are British .455 caliber pistols. With six rounds, we’ll see how this stacks up against the German pistol counterparts we’ve all been playing with.
The new Sten Attachments include:
- Muzzle Break
- Drum Mag
- Wooden Stock
QoL Enhancements
The QoL Enhancements for the November 10 Marauders Patch include:
- Map Cycling
- More Airlocks
- Mission-specific XP for Breacher Pod Kills
- Lean Toggle
- FOV Slider (80 to 100)
- Locked Depot for the Navy Outpost
- Locked Depot for Penal Colony
- Additional Daily Contract missions for a total of 42
- Fixes to physics
- Players can disable startup movie with ‘nostartupmovies’
- Adjustments to recoil when jumping
- Navy Commandos and Major can spawn anywhere in the raid location except for the navy outpost
- Crews are locked on default
- A siren alarm can now be heard when a breach occurs
- Capital Ship and Merchant Ship have had their spawn chance increased by 30%
Are you tired of being stuck with the Space Station 11 times in a row? Well, hopefully, this won’t happen anymore. The developers have implemented a new map cycling that will help reduce repetition regarding raiding maps. In the same vein, there will be more airlocks, which should cut down on airlock camping or people spawning behind you in a raid. With an increased spawn rate for the Capital and Merchant ships, players should be able to enjoy those minor raids more often.
The new airlock quantities are as follows:
- Terraformer: 6 airlocks
- Navy Outpost: 6 airlocks
- Prison: 5 airlocks
- Spaceport: 5 airlocks
Let’s be honest for a second. There are 2 types of people in Marauders—those that breach and those that don’t. If you’ve got the gusto to breach and kill other Marauders, you should be rewarded, especially considering how challenging that can sometimes be.
Lean Toggle and FOV Sliders are two huge QoL enhancements that should make the game more enjoyable. We’re not looking forward to seeing other Marauders awkwardly running down corridors bent to the side–but we’re happy it’s being added.
Anti-Cheat Improvements
The most significant news is the updated anti-cheat mechanisms in the game. We have encountered this personally in our games–unloading an entire clip into someone unfazed, getting shot through vault doors, etc. In a game where the goal is acquiring loot, cheating can devastate the community.
Small Impact Studios will be taking a more aggressive stance on hackers and cheaters in the game.
Balance Improvements
Here is the massive list of balance improvements and tweaks in the Marauders November 10, 2022 patch:
- The headshot damage multiplier is now 3x rather than 3.5x

- Reduced the length of certain actions on AI squads (SAS and Commandos) to prevent them from looking frozen when failing to complete/reach them
- Panzer was removed from the central empire shop (now higher tier armor) and replaced with plate armor. (medium-tier armor)
- The Pirate Trader’s supply drop has been added to the vault loot pool and removed from the faction shop, it has been replaced with the machete
There are a ton of changes here, and only time will tell which will be more impactful. What we can say is that we appreciate the additional quests, as now there will be more variety in raid objectives for every player.
There is more, but it’s far too long to post here. You can read all of the patch notes here.
