Vampire Survivors is full of unlockable content, some of which is hidden and only visible after collecting special items. The 0.6.1 update added several new weapons and a secret Relic to the game. There are also a few new achievements, so completionists may have noticed one that says to get the Crimson Shroud. Here’s a guide explaining how to obtain the Crimson Shroud in Vampire Survivors.
What is the Crimson Shroud in Vampire Survivors?
The Crimson Shroud is a weapon in Vampire Survivors and the evolved version of the Laurel. The Laurel evolves into the Crimson Shroud while you have the Metaglio Left and Metalgio Right maxed out.
How to obtain the Crimson Shroud in Vampire Survivors
To obtain the Crimson Shroud in Vampire Survivors:
- Obtain the Yellow Sign Relic.
- Load into any stage.
- Collect the Metaglio Left and Metaglio Right.
- Max out the Metaglio Left, Metaglio Right, and the Laurel.
- Open a Treasure Chest to evolve the Laurel into the Crimson Shroud.
First, you’ll need to find the Yellow Sign Relic to be able to see the weapons required to make the Crimson Shroud. Metaglio Left and Metaglio Right are hidden items available on every stage, and they will be invisible unless you have unlocked the Yellow Sign.
The Metaglio Left is found to the west on all stages, except for Gallo Tower, where it’s in the north. The Metalgio Right is found to the east on all stages, except for Gallo Tower, where it’s in the south. Load into any stage and open up your map to see where the two Metaglio items are located if you have the Milky Way Map.
Proceed to collect these items, and max them out to level nine. You should also max out the Laurel at level eight. You can then evolve the Laurel into the Crimson Shroud as you would with any other weapon evolution.
What does the Crimson Shroud do?
The Crimson Shroud shields a player from damage and makes the player temporarily invulnerable upon activation. The color of the shield signifies the number of charges, where yellow means there are three charges left, orange means two, and red means one. An explosion reflects damage when each charge is consumed, causing shockwaves of retaliation damage.
Crimson Shroud also caps enemy damage at 10, making it incredibly effective against a boss like Red Death. It is affected by Might, Curse, Armor, and Area. Cooldown also recharges the shields quicker.
