Smalland: Survive the Wilds Giant’s Fall update introduced a host of new content to the game, including the golden material known as Pyrite. Used for higher-level gear and as a bartering item at the Merchant, Pyrite is also required to continue the main questline. Where to Find Pyrite in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
Pyrite is found on the cave walls inside the ruins at the southeast portion of the map, next to Teodrik, the Historian. Pyrite looks like golden metal chunks and is attached to the cavern’s interior walls. An Iron Pickaxe is required to mine Pyrite.
To get to Teodrik, players should use a flying mount, as it makes getting to the caves much easier.
Pyrite is an important material used for the following items:
- Pyrite Helmet
- Pyrite Pauldron
- Pyrite Vambrace
- Pyrite Leggings
- Pyrite Greatsword
Pyrite is also used to purchase Hoots at the Merchant, which you’ll need to buy Schematics like Metal Building Parts, which will enable you to build structures from Iron and Pyrite.
Ultimately, just like other resources in Smalland, Pyrite is essential if you want to level up your character to make the campaign easier.
