If you’ve been diving into the action of the looter shooter extraction game, Marauders, then you know that a core concept of the game is stacking up your cash so you can unlock new crafting items and afford things at the shop. If anything, what’s being a space pirate without taking booty when you can? However, there might be a time when you find yourself running seriously low on funds. Luckily, we know exactly how you can make money fast in Marauders.
At the time of writing, players start with $65,000 at the start of the game. However, this can quickly drain if you start buying stuff and dying in raids.
How to Make Money in Marauders
To make money fast in Marauders, complete daily contracts, sell items in the Trade tab, and unlock vaults for the highest-value items and loot. You can either go fully kitted into a raid or play it safe and use the free items found on the Rustbucket. Each method has its positives and drawbacks.
For a step-by-step guide on each method, see below.
Method 1: Completing Daily Contracts
Completing Daily Contracts is the most straightforward way to make more money in Marauders. Most Daily Contracts come with a monetary reward, XP bonus, reputation with a faction, and sometimes an item you can sell in the Trade menu for more cash.
To take a Daily Contract in Marauders:
- Click the Contracts tab at the top of the screen.
- Click the + sign next to the Empty Contract Slot.
- Select Accept on the contracts you want to take.
You can take up to 3 daily contracts at a time.
Daily Contract Tips
Here are a few tips to help you maximize the money earned by completing Daily Contracts in Marauders:
- Prioritize easier contracts first. Easier contracts include Meat Receipt and delivery contracts like War Economy. If you already have the delivery contract items in your inventory, it’s a quick button press to more money.
- Accept contracts from the same raid. Accepting Daily Contracts in different raids will take you longer to complete. Try to accept 3 Daily Contracts that are in the same 1 or 2 raids to save time and knock out multiple contracts per raid.
- Remember to redeem your Reward. After completing a Daily Contract, remember to revisit the Contracts tab to complete the quest and get your Reward.
- You don’t need to survive the raid to get the quest reward. You will hear a “ding” noise when completing the daily contract.
Method 2: Selling Items
The second way to make money fast in Marauders is straightforward: sell items in the Trade tab. Gold, Silver, Copper Coins, and ammunition sell for a high profit. Coins are found in boxes, crates, and on NPCs in nearly every raid. Don’t overlook collecting ammunition while raiding, especially the higher-caliber ammo, as it can bring in a lot of cash.
To sell items in Marauders:
- Select the Trade tab at the top of the screen.
- Click and drag the item you want to sell to the left vendor window.
- The value for your item is displayed in the bottom right of the item icon.
Completing Daily Contracts improves your reputation with a faction, resulting in item discounts.
Marauders Coin Values
Here’s how much you can get per coin in Marauders:
- C Coin: $850
- S Coin: $2,762
- G Coin: $7,225
Method 3: Unlocking Vaults
Vaults will get you the most money fast in Marauders because they often contain high-value items like Intel or War Bonds that can be sold for an enormous profit at the trader. However, keep in mind unlocking vaults is also the riskiest of all of the money-making techniques, but will result in the highest payout.
Remember to bring lockpicks so you can unlock the safe often found in vaults.

Marauders Money Making Tips
- If you find yourself dying a lot, enter a raid, loot a small number of boxes, and exfiltrate. There’s no point in losing all your gear over and over.
- You can always enter a raid with no gear, then equip the gear on the ship in front of the Captain’s room.
- Always put your Cpt. Keycard into your main inventory or bag so you can sell it for $1,020.
- If you’re okay with spending some time, you can grab the gear in the ship, plus your Cpt. Keycard for a net gain of a little over $1,500 for each run.
That’s everything you need to know about making money fast in Marauders! Are you the type to take it slow and safe and respawn over and over again for the free $1,500 boost?
Or, are you the kind to risk it all, go fully kitted out with friends, and unlock vaults?
Only you can determine that–but good luck either way!
