Vampire Survivors Pugnala Provola Character Guide

Here's everything you need to know about Pugnala Provola in Vampire Survivors, including how to unlock her and her starting weapon.

Many playable characters are available in Vampire Survivors, some of which must be purchased with Gold Coins or unlocked through special actions. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock Pugnala Provola in Vampire Survivors and list her passive bonuses and starting weapon.

Pugnala Provola is one of 25 total characters in Vampire Survivors, and she’s the first with a stage-specific unlock requirement. She is one of four characters unlocked by finding a coffin, with the other three being Giovanna Grana, Poppea Pecorina, and Concetta Caciotta. All four of these characters’ names reference Italian cheeses.

How to unlock Pugnala in Vampire Survivors

To unlock Pugnala Provola in Vampire Survivors, you must locate her coffin on the Mad Forest stage. The coffin is far northeast of the starting area and surrounded by Aggressive Winged Skeletons. An arrow will guide you to the coffin as you get closer, and you can view it on your map if you have the Milky Way Map.

After unlocking Pugnala Provola by finding her coffin, you’ll need to purchase her on the Character Selection screen for Gold Coins.

What are Pugnala Provola’s passive bonuses in Vampire Survivor?

Pugnala gains +1% Might every level, and there is no level cap, meaning this can stack to level 99. Pugnala also gains +20% Movespeed as a starting bonus.

What is Pugnala Provola’s starting weapon in Vampire Survivors?

Pugnala’s starting weapons are Phiera Der Tuphello and Eight The Sparrow, making her the only character who has two starting weapons. The weapon combines into Phieraggi (weapon union). The weapons cap out at level eight, and have the same level bonuses, which are as follows:

  1. Fires quickly in four fixed directions.
  2. Fires one more projectile.
  3. Passes through two more enemies.
  4. Fires one more projectile.
  5. Base damage increases by five.
  6. Passes through two more enemies.
  7. Base speed increases by 50%, and base damage increases by five.
  8. Passes through two more enemies.

Phiera Der Tuphello and Eight The Sparrow both do not benefit from Duration, but benefit greatly from Cooldown. A low cooldown can turn it into a constant stream of projectiles. The upgraded Phieraggi weapon benefits from every stat except for Duration.

Survive for 10 minutes with Pugnala Provola to permanently unlock the Phiera Der Tuphello, and 15 minutes to permanently unlock the Eight The Sparrow weapon. Combine Phiera Der Tuphello (level 8) with Eight The Sparrow (level 8) and Tiragisú to form the Phieraggi.
