There are many different playable characters in Vampire Survivors, with the developer introducing new ones constantly. You typically purchase characters with Gold or unlock them through secrets hidden within each level. Vampire Survivors update 0.7.2 added several new pieces of content to the game, including a character named Zi’Assunta Belpaese. This guide will show you how to unlock Zi’Assunta Belpaese in Vampire Survivors and list her starting weapon and bonus passives.
Zi’Assunta Belpaese is one of 26 characters in Vampire Survivors, and she’s one of five characters with a stage-specific unlock requirement. Much like Pugnala Provola, Poppea Pecorina, Concetta Caciotta, and Giovanna Grana, you unlock Zi’Assunta by finding a coffin. Much like the characters mentioned above, the name is inspired by an Italian cheese. Specifically, the name comes from Bel Paese, a cow’s milk cheese.
How to unlock Zi’Assunta Belpaese in Vampire Survivors
To unlock Zi’Assunta Belpaese in Vampire Survivors, you must locate her coffin in Stage 5. Find the coffin several tiles to the south of the starting area on the Cappella Magna stage.
Cappella Magna features rising water after a certain time, so it’s important to load into the stage and head south immediately. Like all other coffins, you will have to defeat all the monsters around it to open it and unlock Zi’Assunta. However, some of the monsters may be unreachable, so a good strategy is to use Christine for her Pentagram starting weapon.
Using Christine, you will automatically wipe out all the monsters on the screen, including those around the coffin. Then, move your character over the coffin to open it and unlock Zi’Assunta. Like the other characters, once she is unlocked, it’ll require Gold Coins to purchase her. The price varies depending on how many other characters you have unlocked already.
What are Zi’Assunta Belpaese’s passive bonuses in Vampire Survivor?
Zi’Assunta Belpaese gains 0.5% Might, Projectile Speed, Duration, and Area for every level and is uncapped. By default, Zi’Assunta also has a 20% bonus to Movement Speed and a 10% bonus to Curse.
What is Zi’Assunta Belpaese’s starting weapon in Vampire Survivors?
Zi’Assunta starts with the Vento Sacro weapon, a low-range whip that attacks several times in short bursts. It is stronger with continuous movement and can also deal critical damage. The weapon caps out at level eight and has the following attributes per level:
- Base.
- Base damage up by 1.
- Base area up by 33%. Fires 1 more projectile.
- Base damage up by 1.
- Base area up by 33%. Fires 1 more projectile.
- Base damage up by 1.
- Base area up by 33%. Fires 1 more projectile.
- Base damage up by 1.
Vento Sacro is directly affected by movement speed, so the quicker your character, the faster the attack rate of the weapon. By default, the weapon can deal critical hits to do twice as much damage. The critical chance is around 5% by default but Luck also affects it.
Vento Sacro gains one Amount for the Base Amount times the distance walked divided by 100,000 and caps out at 10. Bonus Amount resets when your character stops moving, so it’s best to keep moving as much as possible without stopping. The Slash Arcana also doubled the damage of Sacro Vento, making them deal four times the damage instead of 2.
Survive for 15 minutes with Zi’Assunta to unlock Vento Sacro permanently.
That’s everything you need to know about Zi’Assunta Belpaese in Vampire Survivors. If anything changes about Giovanna in future updates, we will update this page.
