Across the Obelisk is a coop deckbuilding roguelite RPG where players go on an adventure solo or with up to three other friends and try to make their way through all the acts. There are 12 unlockable heroes in Across the Obelisk, and our series of guides will help you unlock all of them. In this guide, we’ll take a look at how to unlock Grukli, an offensive warrior capable of tearing through enemies with ease.
How to Unlock Grukli in Across the Obelisk
To unlock Grukli in Across the Obelisk, follow these steps:
- Go to the Small Lake in Act 1
- Select the Fishing option (restart if unsuccessful) to get the Big Fish
- Finish Act 1 and navigate to the Green portal
- Go to the Waterfall Ledge in the Green area
- Select the Give option to give the big fish to the dwarf
Grukli is an easy character to unlock, so you won’t need to invest too much time into this one. To start, go to the Small Lake at the bottom of the Act 1 map.
Once at the Fishing Contest, you will need to select the Fishing option. This has a success probability of about 60%, which means you might fail. And if you do fail the roll, you can restart your run.
After successfully fishing, you will obtain a Big Fish. After that, finish Act 1 and go to the Green portal. You will ultimately need to make your way to the Waterfall Ledge for The Hungry Dwarf event. An easy way to do this is by going to the North Pier and getting a boat.
When you get to the Waterfall Ledge, select the option to give the dwarf the fish. After you give him the fish, you will have unlocked Grukli.
About Grukli
Grukli is a half-dwarf warrior capable of dealing massive damage–perhaps the most out of any hero in the game. The offensive warrior comes with the Furious innate (+2 Fury at the start of every turn) and the Bone Claws starting item. Bone Claws gives +1 to all damage and applies 1 Bleed to every attack.
As for Grukli perks, go for maximum health, armor, speed, and bleed damage.
