Across the Obelisk is a coop deckbuilding roguelite RPG where players go on an adventure solo or with up to three other friends and try to make their way through all the acts. There are 12 unlockable heroes in Across the Obelisk, and our series of guides will help you unlock all of them. In this guide, we’ll look at how to unlock Thuls, a rogue who specializes in poison.

How to Unlock Thuls in Across the Obelisk

To unlock Thuls in Across the Obelisk, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Water Mill in Act 1
Accept the quest to search for a strong venom
Finish Act 1 and go through the Green portal
Go to the Spider Lair in the Green area
Engage and defeat The Spider Queen

Thuls is a relatively easy character to unlock and only requires going into Act 2. To start, proceed to the Water Mill area in Act 1. Accept the quest there from the mysterious creature asking for venom.

After accepting the quest, finish Act 1 and proceed through the Green portal. Next, you’ll want to make your way to the Spider Lair at the bottom of the map.

Jump down into the Spider Lair and work your way through it. Toward the end of the Spider Lair, you’ll encounter a miniboss. Choose to fight the Spider Queen, and defeat her to unlock Thuls.

About Thuls

Thuls is a master assassin that excels in using stealth and poisons. He starts with the Nightstalker passive, which gives him 2 Stealth at the start of combat. Thuls also has the Venom Flask item, which applies 2 Poison to all monsters at the start of combat.
